Folks,
I'm not here to rant about who a particular person is neither am I trying to generalize every Nepalese living in the US. I've been living here for a few years now.
I ask you all, why all this hate in our community ? I have always believed in peace. I was raised to believe in such a thing. My parents never spoke ill of others, so I never had any 100 level courses on it either. But, the constant hatred. . The thing I hate the most, is how one person will justify themselves to being good friends with another, and then happily shoot a bullet in their head, without the slightest confirmation. It is sad.
I'm not pointing fingers here. I'm simply stating the obvious...We have a majority of young Nepalese living here in the US, and we all at some point go through hurdles and such .. I've noticed how people simply escalate it to another level. One story is all that is needed for the city to be flooded with rumours and lies. They will never have the courage to ask the other person for clarification, and instead take the red pill for what it is.
Then, I realize .. most people will do that. They have their issues. And, people will talk about others till eternity, as long as it doesn't involve them. They will reflect their own personal defiencies onto others and simply take the word for it about someone else.
Condemnation is plenty, compliment is rare.
Your job, your status, your house, doesn't make you any better now, does it ?. We are all the same. We all come from the same country... be it the streets of Jhapa, to the palaces of Kathmandu. Nobody is better than anybody else. We make who we are. .. We are who we want to be. Even the most educated, seem blunt about these circumstances. I'd like to hear your opinion on it. I've faced some of these things myself and I'd like to know how others would feel about this. Sure, people will praise you for your accomplishments but, who are we to trust ?
My 2 cents.

Why don't you post your expert opinion on this rather than posting an oblivious statement. I'm asking everyone's opinion on if they have been through certain situations where they feel that they have been mistreated.
Then, as expected - you go on and try to explain why I'm wrong and lying at the same time ?
P.S I have a life and it's great. Thank you very much.. I don't think I need you telling me to get a life.
You can keep your three cents.

I dont understand why people keep on associating nepalese people with this and that.
First of all the person who posts is also a Nepali, so if you are associating Nepalese people with a certain behaviour then it is also associated with you. DONT MAKE A FOOL OF YOURSELF.
Secondly, the behaviour with which you associate nepalese people is not only associated with nepalese people. For example, kim kardashian is a drama queen as is taylor swift as is Rekha Thapa and as are you. I have also seen many African, Central American and Mexican drama queens as well as kings.
I hope people will start realising these things. If you say more is found on nepali people then i will want to see your weighning machine. May be you are more in contact with nepali people so you see more of these behaviors in nepalese people.
Note: I am not writing this thing for the poster but to all the sajha readers and future posters. I had also written a similar view in one of the previous post which I dont recall, so I am not writing this view just for the poster but to all people who associate nepalese people with a certain behaviour.

I wonder why people maim their say by adding a feeble, uncessary and insignificant "my two cents" at the end of their sentence. A lot of us has something to say, a point to make and yet we add a little "my two some kind of currency" before full stopping. i think that waters down what we are about to communicate to the readers. Please let yourself be heard, do not sound hesitant.

@mancini - And, you have realized it yourself ? I guess you are at the far end of the spectrum, where the grass is greener ? Perhaps, I'm a little biased but I do have friends from different ethnicities and I don't see them being judgmental. People MIND their own business. It is the complete opposite with the people I've been in contact with. Yes, it could be that the people I've met are a minority of the above statement, but I find that very hard to believe.
P.S CAPS doesn't make your point more valid
@strayt_shooter I wonder why people enter dicussions and post replies that are completely irrelevant. You are more than welcome to post your opinions without passing on your 2 cents, however I choose a different path. And to answer your question, I'm simply stating that my opinion is in terms of my perspective. That is all.

Devroad,
These are the holes that I find in your opinion:
1) You crowed “……..neither am I trying to generalize every Nepalese living in the US.” And yet the title of your thread is an intelligent, “Nepalese people & Drama”
2) Your another line……“Yes, it could be that the people I've met are a minority of the above statement, but I find that very hard to believe.” You are contradicting yourself in this statement. Half of your sentence suggests that out of all Nepalese people you have met, the ones with pessimistic views represent a very small percentage. The other half is doubting if you have met any. Which of it is true? Formulate your idea, take a stand and present it, and then expect participation.
Above all, you are trying to reach out to people’s honest life experiences with an account that has negative attitude towards Nepalese? And disappointed that people are not reacting..? that is less relevant than my comment on your two cents.
