As for MVP, I want Tim 'The Fundamental' Duncan to win but I don't think he has played enuf games to deserve it. The trophy belongs to STEVE NASH. Kobe is good, no doubt.... hes great for the game but it comes down to who's most valuable... not who's the best... Kobe got his acts together cause of Phil and finally made the 7th seed... Nash, still missing 2nd most valuable player last year Amare S., with limited guys on the squad, has his team up there with dallas... Theres no way Nash can't be the MVP of the league... last year was debateable with shaq.. this year.. it should be no brainer...
Kobe is great, so is labron, Dirk, Billups, D.Wade the flash.. no ones said notthing about Vincanity this year.. i think hes on top of his game rite now.. come play offs, it should be fun to watch them go against detroit... they dont' have a big centre but that shouldn't be problem...

There have always been lakers bashers no matter how well they play!

TO be honest, if we don't have enough lakers' bashers the NBA will lose its charisma. Even when they have barely made it to the playoffs, people compare lakers with every other team. Les admit it. Nobody thought lakers would make it this year. Admit it. Kobe's on full throttle. Admit it. Every team is scared of playing lakers' or les say Kobe in the playoffs. Cause on a given night, the war is always on with lakers. They are not simply gonna go down. The showtime is back. Jack Nicklaus is back. Zen Master is back. :)

So, before you nominate your MVP on a saint like scale on who made the team better and what not, see the stats of Kobe this year. Don't bring his personal life into this cause its gonna backfire on you. Noone even comes close to Kobe. Offence, defense, and playing like a heart of a champion. Even if they don't make it to the second round. Kobe's MVP this year hands down!

Shaq left for more money....Period.. He was under contract when he demanded the trade. He was just disgruntled, and had plenty of ego problem to play with against Kobe...And, as an Organization, there was no way Shaq would get 30 + Mil a year for 5 years as a Laker...so, he end up signing 5 Yr, 100 Mil contract with Miami...which I think is overpaid....Shaq is already slowing down..despite losing 25 lbs....he might play 2 more years...with a huge IF.......

Last I checked, the best player usually end up winning the MVP......
