i have always enjoyed watching hindi movies.
and i am a gr8 fan of Aamir Khan.
i have always liked his sensible acting but my girl friend she likes Sharukh Khan.
we had a discussion last night about who is the best.
what do u think guys.

I will go for Amir Khan. Tyo jahelaai arka ko budhi takne ... Sharukh Khan bhanda ta Amir Khan is best. Does good roles and every project he takes is the best fit for him and he give maximum performance. The film he plays is inspiring ... about youth, politics, kids and many more.... i can write may more on this tara this much for now... i am on your side hips don't lie and just ask your GF whats there in Sharukh ...

It was only yesterday when superstar Aamir Khan asked fellow actor Shah Rukh Khan what it felt like being No. 2 to him. This didn’t go down well with fans of King Khan and a response from the ‘Baazigar’ was imminent. So when SRK took the podium to launch his Kolkata Knight Riders (a Cricket team that he has bought to play in the newly formed ICL), the next stage in this showdown was witnessed…

We all are well aware of Shah Rukh’s down to earth attitude towards all, be it friends or foes, and Aamir Khan is no exception. When a member of the present media asked SRK for a response on the Aamir statement, Shah Rukh joked, “My wife has warned me. If I say anything about Aamir, she’ll beat me up. She is an Aamir Khan fan.” He further joked, “Aamir is a dear friend and if he says that I’m second to him then it’s a great compliment to him. Oops! That was a genuine slip of the tongue. I mean it’s a great compliment to me.” Talking about differences between the two, Shah Rukh explained, “We are complete opposites. He is an intelligent, intellectual person. I’m more physical. I do things, he thinks them out. I know his jokes, he knows mine. He is 100% No. 1.”

The media hype surrounding this issue didn’t rest, a few minutes later another journalist raised the issue. He asked Shah Rukh if Aamir was upset at him because of a statement that Shah Rukh made before the release of Don… “There’s Chengez Khan and then there’s Shah Rukh Khan.” To this, King Khan said, “There’s Aamir, then there’s me and then there’s Chengez Khan… I guess. That keeps changing. I’m proud of having learnt a lot from Aamir. One of my biggest desires in life is to do a film with Aamir. We should not belittle the importance of Aamir Khan by comparing him with someone like me. He is a standalone, one of the nicest gentlemen and actors in the country.”

Shah Rukh’s wife Gauri was also present at this Mumbai press conference along with his leading lady Juhi Chawla. Captain of his Riders, Saurav Ganguly posed for the cameras with fellow team-mates Ishant Sharma, Akash Chopra and Murali Karthik .

thanks for the summary of the interview. I would really want to know the source of this information, and especially aamir's statement that srk is second to him.
ani btw, lets set the rules clear. what are the criteria of comparison between shahrukh n aamir?

•  the number of movies that were commercially successful only in urban areas of India?
• the amount of money their movies make in the 1st wk of release?
• the brand name of banners they work with count?
• number of awards won . (lets only count filmfare and national award of india)

I aint including "acting capability" as a criteria coz its too subjective and hence cant be judged for certainty. if there b any rule of thumb to measure "acting capability" pls include it was well n explain me how the "rule of thumb" is applied.

i dunno what was ur gf's judgement criteria "hips dont lie? dude. bt  for me, srk is someone to be inspired of.

what im concerned is, srk didnt have a family background of movie personality as aamir did.

srk stood up and struggled on his own, and has rose to a point where he is compared with the Amitabh Bachchan.

im not saying that aamir khan is bad. i enjoy his movies a lot. bt dudes, how many of u have struggled in ur career and had ur dad or some relative to back u up? if u didnt have anyone, and have stood up on your own, u will understand my point.

LOL plz..... Do u know Real SRK? He is son of  Freedom fighter and  beside that his father was top notch businessman in Delhi metro and its surrounding area. His mom was Congress Party member. They heavily benifitted during Congress Raaj cause of Licence quota system. They were the only Perto dealer for delhi and its surroundings. May be pushing phone numbers to the right connections and visting Directors in AC Cars is seen as struggle than i will accept ur theory of SRKs struggle. There is no doubt about his capability as an actor but plzz do not give ur opnion on struggle crap of SRK.  When u are financially strong u do not have to struggle but just have to find right connections,some luck and acting abilities or else Kumar Gaurav would be in Bollywood.

P.S. The time when Amir was launched by his dad Srk was in Delhi if u compare that time period SRK was doing better financially than Amirs family.

Ofcourse Aamir Khan is best, look at his movies, different stories different plots different roles different looks and all looks natural, no over acting and his movies are good, despite his physic he still manage to do the best, and what a great Director, Taare Zameen Par-what a good movie, what a great presentation of sequence and emotions.....

And Shahrukh---same stories, same plot same roles same style, over acting (especiall in OSO---what a BS movie), he can't do anything new.

People who got brain think Aamir Khan is best.
