As the King is out of his power and position now, how likely is it for the future government to re-examine and disclose the hidden and secret episodes of the Royal Massacre? or Will they keep silent as this could be one of the agreement between Republicans and Royals??

I think the case will be re-opened. Whatever left for bloody Gyanendra Shah will be snatched back.

Guys.. there are a lot of good things that Maoists can do besides reopening of the case of royal massacre....   who will benefit by re-opening that case??
At least those ordinary nepali who suffer every time all these political parties do nepal bandh will certainly not be benefited by it...    Who will benefit out of it.?? Go figure...

Well. Now country has become republic , the killing of Birendra and family is considered killing of nepali citizen and not the king.  Secondly, after 7 years , it will be very difficult to prove the case. Thirdly, who knows, may be Dipendra himself killed Birendra. and family. Let us also reopen killing of those 40 innocent live in madi where the bus was burnt alive. Infact we don't need to reopen, maoist themselves have accepted they were involved in those incidence. So as a leader of that party should prachanda be given life sentence.

Even though everyone knows who killed who, the history lives in paper, not in people's memory. People die and memories fade away. If fact and truth don't get exposed now, it will always be a series of mysteries. So we should demand for the truth and it must be provided.
However, I, personally, think this case will never be opened again. Why would any of the sacked Royals give up their power and property so easily. We haven't heard a single official statement from them yet. They wouldn't care about what people wanted or what the election says. At this point, all they want is an easy escape. The political parties have exchanged the facts of Royal Massacre with the termination of Royal Institution. And the Royals know its the right time for an easy escape. So they did, give up Narayanhiti and the royal status. In return, the real killer will always be in dark shadow.. Political party, especially Maoist, is happy to show off that they kicked out the Royal Institution.
Maoist wouldn't care about the truth either because they want to forget the past as well. They have used the guns and killed thousands of people to get the power too. So the mystery will never be solved unless old Mr Koirala speak out before he die or loose all his memory ( he hasn't got enough time either coz that time is not very far).

well, he acted weird when he presented the Royal Massacre Report. He was stupid to do that, no doubt. Using words like 'Bhatatatatata' and aiming the gun at reporters and saying 'Hanidiu?' is very irresponsible. That's the reason he doesn't exist in Nepalese politics now. That's the punishment for him.
But lets think from his side. He was Speaker of the house of representative. Any person as intellectual as him knows about how stupid he looked when he did that. He was forced to do present the report. And so did he, but he made it hilarious. He may have done that to show the world that even he himself doesn't believe what was written on the report. When a person is asked to taste sugar and questioned if it is better with gun on  his head, he will certainly say it was better.

Today, Maoist leader Bhattarai spoke about re-opening of the Royal Massacre. In his usual diplomatic way of answering questions, he seems to be very soft and polite on this matter. After seven years of the incident, there are very few physical evidences that still exists. The only medium that unveils truth is the words of mouth. To bring the truth, a committee, unlike the puppet committee lead by Mr. ranaBhatatatatatata, should soon be formed without any delay that has power to interview each and every person that are directly or indirectly linked to the the incident.
I hope ex-royals have not bargained to the Maoist about hiding the truth for the giving up their status. Maoist must do its best to bring the truth to the world.

There are more pressing issues facing daily Nepali life rather than wasting time on this BULLSHIT. This is like George Bush opening up JFK assasination cause he is not happy with previous investigations. THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME, ENERGY, MONEY, AND VALUABLE NEPALI GOVERNMENT RESOURCES.
