I'd have them reapply. Your parents might've fallen victim of being random unfortunate ones. Only lord knows how long will the US govt have its say in the World. There are people who get their visas with minimal effort despite having considerably 'weak' documents while there are some unfortunate ones who get their visas denied despite having strong documents.
Good luck, man.

US takes decision by their head. And they go wrong. In UK at least if you have document u can chalange if you have document. Sometime I feel US don't have a law in giving visa.

sometimes it so unfortunate and frustrating. can you also get a letter from your dad's office stating that he will be returning to Nepal to continue his government job. Just an additional letter if you have not included that in your previous application.

oh come on, everyone knows they act with their mood most of the time.. don't be fool and try to find logic on someone's mood... they must have graduated without their parents in their graduation, if they ever graduated... at all..

It's not about the document it's about the strong reason that they will be going back after they get here..... I myself had directly chatted with counselor from visa department..... I found that they mostly look for the reason to be back to Nepal after graduation..... I hope it helps..... You should show strong reason to go back rather than document..... I had same problem my mom got rejected 3 times.... She never got visa "...... That's I hope the reason in my case..... I m pretty sure it might be for u too So stop panicking .... Just have a good reason to go back make a reason that ur sister is getting married in magh so they have to go back by that time.... Or sth like that once they got visa it's all gud abt staying for few xtra months

This is so infuriating. If you don't let people join the graduation of their children means they don't have heart.
I think you need to show strong tie with Nepal to make them believe that your parents will return. These ties can be financial (homes, jobs, works, bank statmeents) or emotional (family members etc.). But in the end it depends upon the discretional decision by the consular.

Now a days no body talks about Lakha , every on in Karod. 10 years from now they will be talking about Kharab ( just letting you know that Nepali got too much disposal income).
Sorry to hear that . With all those ties, it should not be a problem.

Sorry to hear about your parents situation but you are not alone on this. Recently one of my cousin who has a good job here in US wanted his parents visit him but their visa was denied. He had a very strong document and when asked by his father why their visa was denied the interviewing guy said in Nepali that at this time they can't issue visa and just asked them to leave.

Sad! I hope this doesn't happen with my parents when I invite them for my graduation.
It often depends on the counselor who interviews the applicant. Apply again and hope that your parents won't be interviewed by the same counselor. Looks like you've done prepared good amount of documents but still, look if there's something more you can include. And check for any possible flaws/issues that need to be taken care of in the documents prepared already.
And btw, when are you graduating? If you're graduating in April, it's too early to apply for visa and that might be a reason for denial. But if you are graduating in December, god knows what the embassy wants. MIght help if you contact the immigration services and explain how you applied and ask what you should do when you reapply so that chances of getting visa increases.
Good luck!

nepali dai,
would you mind posting why they were denied for first 2 tries and how the visa was approved the third time? it will be really helpful to others (including me) who will be inviting their parents in near future. if you don't want to post here on the thread, please send me the email that you are going to send to seasom.
thanks in advance.
