Bedford convenience store clerk was fatally shot during an apparent robbery Monday afternoon.


Bedford Police The clerk, 28-year-old Gaurab Rajbanshi of Euless, was found dead shortly after 4:40 p.m. at the D&S Food Mart at 1501 E. Pipeline Road. Bedford police Lt. Kirk Roberts said witnesses reported hearing a gunshot and seeing three young black men fleeing the store. The men were described as between 18 and 20 years old, all wearing white t-shirts and driving away in a 1980s-model gold Chevrolet Suburban. They were last seen traveling east on Pipeline.

The clerk was found dead behind the counter. Police have reviewed video footage of the incident captured by the store's surveillance system. It appears that one or two of the men were making a purchase and the clerk had the cash register open when one man shot the clerk for no apparent reason, police said.

Anyone with information about the crime or suspects is asked to call Bedford police at 817-952-2127.

I just happen to talk to his Sister Yesterday Tuesday,12th of June at his home Nepal. I am his sister,s very good Friend. I was asking her about him (GAURAV) and she was saying Gaurav is doing fine and today morning i heard this Bad news, OH god!! I am shocked..... Why this happen to him! May his soul rest in Heaven and Peace.

i don't believe he is dead..i talked to him the day before he was dead...he was one of my good fren...we stayed together for 4 months whhile we were in UNA, florence, Al. he was a good boy..a helpful man...a smart ..boy...it shocks....it broke my heart when i first read the news in sajha.com. then i started making calls everywhere...his phone was off by that time....i was even talking about him..during day time...it shocks...i can't believe this...
hope god is there to help his family and relatives...may his sould rest peace in heaven
