If you liked to break open your toys when you were young, and if you are semi good in Math & Science, then I would suggest engineering. Engineering will require you take a lot of classes and do a lot of projects. In fact, you will have a very good experience in school working with teams and solving problems. You will also be asked to think on your feet and adapt yourself to find alternative ways for coming to a solution. This will definitely prepare you for a good professional career. And even when the economy is down and Banks are laying off workers, you might still be able to keep your job! The bottom line is, take an introductory engineering course and see where it goes from there. Good luck!
