Has anybody used World Education Service (WES) for their transcript evaluation for nursing? One of my friends completed her +2 and later completed 3 years of 'Proficiency Certificate in Nursing' from CTEVT affiliate nursing college. WES evaluated her diploma as US equivalency of 'High School Diploma'. WTF???? Has anybody in the similar situation?

I believe, CGFNS is for professionals, meaning if you're planning to do job in US. WES evaluates primarily if you want to go school. Anyways, the college that she wants to go accepts evaluation from WES only.

WES sucks big time. they took $160 and did nothing. wish there was another reliable source.

That is correct you got to go with the one college accepts otherwise you are out of money anyway.....

Yes, I now know both CGFNS and WES suck. She requested WES for course-by-course evaluation in hope of transfering some credits to US colleges, but they sent letter stating that they aren't doing course-by-course because she doesn't have post-secondary in US. WTF?? Instead, they'll be doing document-by-document. If she had post-seconday education in US, then why the hell does she need to do the evaluation? It doesn't make sense at all. Can somebody enlighten please?

Now,she got her document-by-document evaluation(which she didn't request) and charged $114 to prepare half-page document.
