Hi all,
It's time to apply for the H1B and it is really difficult to provide all the required documents.I completed my graduate on May-2007(spring) and because of that I am having 10 days gap from sep 20th - sep 30th 2008.My employer is asking the evidence of my legal stay at that time to apply H1B. The only choice for me is to get new I-20(for that gap), however I need to get that I-20 before April and I inquired so many institutes and universities. Some of them are ready to issue but that will invalidate my OPT. If you have gone through this type of situation please share some ideas.I would appreatiate your cooperation.
Thanks

Hi All,
Do you guys have any idea from where can I get I-20 within this month(March-2008)? What if I get I-20 before april for august session? Dose that get my OPT invalid ? Do I be out of status from april to july? Waiting for good suggestion......................................
Thanks

Hey there, you can get enrolled in college without accepting the I-20 as yet (even though you apply as an intl student). Once the OPT expires, get the I-20. You could talk to the univ's intl counsellor on this and they'd hold on that for the time being but you'd still be able to attend school.
