If I want to go to Nepal, does it matter if I have my visa is valid for only 5 months ? I have a US student visa but soon will expire. But still i want to go home. I heard that it requires at least 6 months of valid VISA to travel. If you are experienced on this matter, could you please help me !!!

doesn't matter how much time you have left on your visa, but you MUST have a valid I20 (i'm guessing here that you are a student) that expires at least on or after the expiry date on the visa.

As bhikhari prasad said, It does not matter. As long as your visa has not expired and you have your I20 signed by the school, you are good to go. Chao.
