Hi Guys,
I have internet connection problem since today afternoon. For this I searched a lot in google and other tech forum. But no solution. So finally I am here in hope to solve this problem. My wireless network is sending packets but not receiving enough to run the internet. But linksys (Router) connection which is unsecured is running but very slow (2 bars). I went to internet connections and in Internet Protocal (TCP/IP) I have selected "Obtain an IP address automatically". Can anybody help me in this regard Please ??

1. Directly connect your computer with modem and see if it works.
2. Is 'Send' signal in your router blinking? Try reseting router (unplug power plug to router, and then to modem, wait for one mins. .and connect back..). Check if it works.
3. Try >> ping google.com (in windows )
OR >>ping -c 3 google.com (in LINUX)
If packets are lost, call your ISP provider (easy ;-))
4. If it shows connected status, but no signal (or slow), - call your Internet Service Providers. Do you have broadband subscription with video? Most possibly it is the signal level issue. TWC has this issue so often.

u might want to put a WEP or WPA password because otherwise other people will also use your internet and make it slow.. if too many people use at same time.. it will be slow.
