At that instant of mentioning Gagan Thapa's name here, Ashu
criticized Gagan Thapa.

I don't know whether Gagan Thapa will turn out to be another
corrupt kangressi in future or not, thats not my biz. at this moment.
At this moment, I regard Gagan Thapa a great fighter for democracy
who has guts shout what he wanted to shout in publicly. Considering
these facts, Ashu sometime back here wrote that he is not against
KG's move because KG's Feb 1 move has so far done nothing
harm to Ashu. From Ashu's academic background
(St Xavier + Harvard + GAA ....) will certainly push him up the ladder
and make minister in near future. Because of his aforementioned
declaration that KG's move has not harmed him personally, will
make those day much closer. So, Ashu will be a minister within these
3 years of royal rule, if not then, less than 5 years. As times come,
we will see him coming forward denouncing the the 7 party movments
in political manner .... like accepting KG's move of Feb 01. His statements
will always be Dodhare and politically correct. In this situation, I want to
see how many Sajhaities favor Ashu and how many favor Gagan Thapa.

Fotunately or unfortunately, at this time, if I have to vote and select
between St. X cum Harvard Guy like Ashu and Banasthali Guy Gagan Thapa,
I will vote for Gagan Thapa.

Time and time again, you bring out the issue of who went to what school ..why does it matter to you that much? Please stop bickering about it because if people from bigger schools do land a job somewhere, its because they deserve it( atleast most of the times, there are some exceptions). Yes, I agree, name does sell but it also has the credibility to be sold....Being a STX alumni, I find it hard to swallow when people make verbal jabs at my former learning shrine. I am sure you would feel the same way if I made some smart a**** comments. I am sure regardless of where people go ..they can still turn out to be smart thats if they are directed well. So, plesae stop degrading.

About the original topic:

I dont know much about student political movement in Nepal but I would rather see those kids stay in school and follow the curriculum. It only happens in developing country that students primary job is to throw stones at cops while conflicting with their own ideology..very sad. No matter how great of a person Gagan is , it is not a good thing escalate the current situation of Nepal..stay away from educational foundations..i About Ashu, I have read his comments here in Sajha for a while and he sounds very articulate. At times, I have agreed with his voice and there are times I have choosen not to..but I do respect what he brings to the table.. In conclusion, I would select none..because there is no competItion and no need for it...they arent running for anything....

Guys, FYI, Gangan is doing all this for his career. Do you think he care? hell no ! I would like to be Gangan (corporate politician).. Smart opportunist. About Ashu - Ashu, after holding such a prestigious degree from Harvard, he chose to go back to Nepal and stay active over there, which we hardly dare or we never dare.. I know he is not Royalist but he is not neither a democrat or a republican.. But one thing that bother me is- an intellect like Ashu is still not clear about what next (in an analytical way if he wants at least he can judge the situation ahead and come forward). Or May be I am wrong hai, huna sakcha he is hinting us.

Rather my only choice would be Mr. Kanak Mani Dixit.. He is something I can count on. And I hope Mr. Daman Nath Dhungana will come forward someday and ofcourse I listed Narhari Acharya.. We need ppl as such to lead the country and citizen in a whole for yet another change..

If Ashu is the same Ashutosh Tiwari who writes in Nepali Times, he must know that he is not upto that level who can be considered for comparision for Gagan................I will write reasons later..in a long detail post
