Quick question to American Basi Daju bahi tatha Didi bahini haru lai.

I have never been to America but few of my friends have been and they say Levi's product and other sports gears are cheap there (outlet) including trainers. I am planning to visit New York for a Long weekend during Easter Period and main priority during that trip will be shopping. So what do you think? Please compare the US price with UK price for me.
Levis Jeans - £90-£100
Levis Jacket £100 - £300

Nike Total 3 Trainer £140
Normal Trainers £60-£120

Do you think the price is that much of a difference? Your help is much appreciated.

I have never seen Levi's for $10 - $20, are you sure those are defect free? Some stores sell jeans really cheap because they may have some minor blemishes. Or, maybe they just have too much inventory. I used to go to an outlet mall where you could get it for around $40.

I think you should expect to pay around $70 for a good pair of denim from regular Levi's store in New York City.

Even within Levi's brand jeans pants, the prices vary quite a bit. Above mentioned $40 jeans was probably one of the cheap designs, but it's still good and with no defects.

If you want to buy Grandpa's jean ( tapered ones I guess they are levis 550 and few other ones..the regular value $30-$35...but if you want to buy Silver Jeans, Carpenter ones or 560s' then..the price range are from $45.00 - $ 55.00.

Let me tell u something hai. My professor in my Marketing class posed a question to all of us, What'd be some of the jeans which if you were put on would be " not cool"? Some of the answers were obvious, The JC penny brands such as Arizona and so on, but most of the students even said Levi's; the reason, Levi's is a jeans that no longer is a cool brand from youngsters. Levi's is more of a brand for elderly these days and putting it wouldn't be so cool. Agreed that Levi's is a respectable brand in Nepal, India and other countries, I was shocked to know that it isn't the same "cool" brand as it used to be, according to the conclusion that followed the discussion later on. Just wanted to share what I found, although it was unpleasant.

I agree with Balbhadra, if you really want a good stuff go for Armani or Versace, they're in sale in NY most of the time.........

Thanks mate, I prefer Levi's than Armani or Versace, thats my personal choice, but don't mind buying them if can get lot cheaper than London price.
