Hi guys, I need some help from experts of photography. I know i have seen some time back few threads on photography and finally i have decided to buy a entry level SLR camera. Although I have done some research i still wana hear from u guys.
 
  My budget is around 800 $. I am mostly interested in action and landscape photography.

   There are so many technicial things i have to care so i am lil confused being just an amatuer.

I know this is goona big a investment so I wana make sure i get the best i can with the bucks i have. Plz feel free to give comments.

Canon is always the best.. go for it.. I have been using 450D great camera..

For action and landscape photography ..well you have be more worried about lens than the camera body.

Most of DSLR bodies can handle fast action and does have great pixel resolution for landscape photography but it's the lenses where it counts most.

For action you need a lens with pretty fast focus capability..many lenses are pretty bad at doing it and have tendency to "hunt".

For landscape photography you will need wide lens from 24-mm to 10mm or wider. Wide lenses are somewhat expensive than normal (50mm) lenses.

go for Canon 500D/550D if this is your first DSLR.

I just bought Canon t2i man its amazing tough it cost me $ 1000.00...But its worth wat I paid. I am enjoying every shot of it... I took picture even from moving car at speed of 120KMPH but pic came perfect.... even i researched for two week  as I was investing a huge amount but its worth man.....you can choose between t1i ot t2i.....

canon 550d n t2i is same..right? ya i got my eyes on Canon rebel T2i... was wondering any nikon equivalent for same price range..?

 I see that one for 849 on best buy store...for t2i..that is about max i can spend..

buy canon xsi or any new entry level model (body only) and 50mm 1.8 EF (cost around 100 bucks). this is the cheapest combination to get best pictures.don't go with kit lenses. kit lenses fare okay during day but you'll get disappointed under low lighting condition.
